lyrics

Giant flowers are eating my clothes,
eating my bedroom slippers
They seemed so small, hardly here at all
till someone gave them too much water

And they just kept on drinking, expanding
engorging, roots sinking

All those whispered sweet nothings,
made them want to taste everything
The bed, the chair, the girl
The boy, the bread, the world

Soulful, willful, doubtful, tearful
A dropful, a spoonful, a cupful, a fistful
Help me I'm green, green, green, green

Giant flowers are ruining my sleep with their
overwhelming perfumes
I can barely breathe through the Queen Anne's lace,
the Fireweed's are in tangles

The bridal wreaths are choking the brides,
the foxtails would rather hide
The sunflowers are eating the sun,
the bluebells are ringing

And as for me, green, green, green
And as for me, green, green, green,
green, green, green...
